What Works Offline

2 min read

DreamTrak is built with an offline-first philosophy, meaning many core features work without an internet connection. Here is what you can and cannot do offline.

Available offline: Your active Trak's practices (Sweet Dreams and Good Morning) are downloaded to your device and work without connectivity. Your dream journal is fully functional offline -- you can write, edit, and review entries anytime. Your Trak progress is tracked locally and will sync when you reconnect. The smart alarm works offline since it runs entirely on your device.

Requires internet: The Voice Companion needs a live connection because it processes guidance in real time using AI. Community features (posting, commenting, browsing the feed) require connectivity. The Trak Store and subscription management need internet access. Syncing data across multiple devices requires an active connection. Downloading a new Trak for the first time requires internet.

How syncing works: When you go back online, DreamTrak automatically syncs your local data -- journal entries, practice completions, Trak progress -- to your account. This happens in the background without any action on your part.

Best practice: If you know you will be without internet (traveling, camping, retreat), make sure to open DreamTrak while connected beforehand so your current Trak's content is fully cached on your device. This ensures uninterrupted practice even in airplane mode or remote locations.

Your journey does not stop just because the signal does.
